Govt Extends Hajj Application Deadline by One Week
A significant update pertaining to Hajj 2024 applications has been announced by the ministry. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has made a startling decision by extending the Hajj application deadline by seven more days, till December 10, 2024. Here is all the information you require on this significant update.
All Hajj Applications Submitted Before December 3 Approved
According to Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, all applications for the Hajj 2024 that were filed before December 3 have been accepted. Applications filed under the Sponsorship Scheme, which is not subject to the standard lottery procedure, fall under this category.
Addressing Applicants’ Concerns
Applicants were informed by the minister that all submissions received prior to the original deadline were successfully processed. The application period has been extended to provide interested parties more time to submit their forms through designated banks in order to further accommodate potential pilgrims.

Will a Lottery Be Held for Additional Applications?
Although all current applications are approved, Hussain noted that if the number of new submissions surpasses the allocated quota, a fair lottery system may be implemented. He underlined the government’s dedication to making sure the selection procedure is open and equitable.
Key Details for Overseas Pakistanis
To secure their spots, overseas Pakistanis enrolling through the Sponsorship Scheme must submit the necessary amounts by December 10, 2024. The Pak Haj smartphone app, which provides pilgrims with up-to-date advice and support for journey planning, has been suggested by the Ministry.
The objective of the deadline extension
The purpose of this deadline extension is to address logistical issues and guarantee equal chances for all prospective pilgrims. In order to prevent any last-minute issues, the Ministry has advised applicants to finish all formalities within the extended term.
